The Transporters Association of Tanzania (TAT) is the national voice of transporters, truck owners, and logistics stakeholders, established in 2015 to promote a safe, efficient, and competitive road transport sector in Tanzania. As a voluntary, non-profit, membership-based association, TAT works closely with government institutions, regulatory authorities, private sector partners, and regional stakeholders to address industry challenges, influence policy reforms, and strengthen the transport value chain for sustainable economic development. Together, we stand for unity, professionalism, and progress in Tanzania’s transport sector.

WHO WE ARE

TAT represents the collective interests of transporters across Tanzania, from small fleet owners to large logistics operators. The association was formed to provide a unified platform where industry stakeholders can engage constructively with government, share knowledge, and promote best practices within the transport sector.

Through structured advocacy, research, and collaboration, TAT ensures that transporters are heard, supported, and positioned for long-term growth in an evolving regulatory and economic environment.
